About Towles Electric
Towles Electric started in 1978 because someone believed electrical work deserved respect. Not as a side hustle or a way to cut corners, but as skilled trades that hold a building—and the people inside it—together. That founder laid groundwork for something bigger than any single job. When Nick and Pat Sebastian took over in 2004, they didn't rewrite the playbook. They deepened it. Nick had earned his master electrician license while working here, learning the way the company moved. That kind of continuity matters. It meant the promise stayed the same, even as hands changed.
The early days were about proving something. Showing up on time. Finishing clean. Knowing the code inside out because cutting corners wasn't an option. Projects weren't problems to solve fast; they were problems to solve right. That mindset spread into the culture. Over decades, it became the filter through which we hired, trained, and chose which work we said yes to. It's why we sponsor the State of Delaware Electrical Apprenticeship Program. If the craft matters, the next generation of people learning it matters too.
'The best work is the work nobody has to call you back about.'
— Nick Sebastian, Master Electrician
Being locally owned and operated means your reputation walks the same streets you do. We've learned that how you finish a job matters as much as how you start it. A breaker box installed right, a circuit diagnosed properly, a rewire that holds for decades—these aren't just technical achievements. They're trust. When a customer's daughter comes home from college and the lights work the way they did the day we left, that's what excellence actually looks like.
We've learned that maintaining standards isn't about perfection. It's about intention. It's about saying no to shortcuts even when the margin feels tight. It's about treating a residential service call with the same precision we bring to commercial rewires. Every customer sees us at our best because that's the only way we know how to work.
And after forty-eight years, we've learned that investing in the next generation of electricians isn't charity—it's survival. The work requires skill. Skill requires people willing to learn it. That's why we show up for the apprenticeship program. The craft endures because we do.
When you call Towles Electric, you get people who show up when they say they will. Who explain what they're seeing without jargon. Who ask permission before they touch anything. Who leave your space cleaner than they found it. You get electricians who've been trained to think through the whole picture, not just the immediate fix. That takes more time sometimes. We're okay with that.
Forty-eight years in one place means we're still here tomorrow. That matters when you're trusting someone with the systems your home or business depends on. Reach out. Let's talk about what you need.
